AMC Cancer Research Center, Denver, CO 8/01-12/01

• Instructional Designer, Designed and developed educational programs and Web portals to enhance public awareness of cancer prevention and to facilitate anti-tobacco legislation. Developed CD, Web-based, and print multi-media presentations and train-the-trainer programs for ski industry professionals in sun safety for the prevention of skin cancer.

University of Colorado at Denver -Technology & Learning Team Studio 8/00-7/01

• Senior Instructional Designer/Programmer, Hazardous Materials and NCATE Online Learning Modules. Work with Subject Matter Experts to analyze module content, determine initial module topics and objectives, and set development priorities. Determine scope, content, and objectives for two courses: one on Hazardous Materials, the other on Sexual Harassment. Determine server delivery platform and storyboards for courses. Program courses and test prototypes.
• Lead Instructional Designer, Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education Grant: The Learning Anytime, Anywhere Partnership - a cooperative program for K-12 educators nationwide promoting use of technologies in the classroom. Develop "Learning to Teach With Technology Studio Production Center," an online environment for K-12 teachers. Orchestrate the efforts of five project contributors. Create and edit content, collaborating with project manager to continually guide and evaluate project objectives. Build a formative evaluation process to analyze site motivation, usability, efficiency, and effectiveness, in partnership with a leading consultant. Go live scheduled for 6/1/01
• Faculty Training and Technology Support, Provide one-on-one Technology Consulting for faculty members, with requirements ranging from posting of course content on faculty web sites to utilization of digital cameras. Maintain and update the TLT web site. Develop and publish "Job Aids," instructional materials for Web Site Management (FTP), Beginning PhotoShop, and other topics. Plan and present focused workshops for faculty members, such as Dreamweaver Web Authoring Tool, Digital Imaging and Scanning, PowerPoint Presentations, online education via Blackboard and e-College. Provide orientations and mentoring of new graduate assistants in the department.
